We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish and English) Traffic Manager and Production Artist who is passionate about using top-notch organizational skills, artful communication, and concerted project management that ultimately helps Meraki drive forward to effect lasting change for our clients.

Then maybe you’re just who we’re looking for! Our new Traffic Manager/Production Artist will be a foundational and pivotal player for the internal agency and external client teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the connection point between our client and creative services departments to develop impeccable creative solutions, products, and deliverables on behalf of our clients
  • Ensure that projects and products requested are assigned, developed, vetted, and polished through to client delivery
  • Develop and closely monitor and adhere to project development schedules, ensuring all team members deliver flawless products on time and on budget
  • Collaborate and openly communicate with agency leadership, creative directors, account leads, project managers, and creatives to ensure everyone is aligned and projects progress seamlessly
  • Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships through strong project management and effective communication
  • Provide support to and collaborate with project team members
  • Manage multiple complex projects, tasks, and subtasks simultaneously
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Manage and maintain file organization and naming convention consistency across the creative department’s shared drive
  • Keep a pulse of changing technologies and tools and assess adoption where applicable
  • Develop and implement process analysis, improvement, and optimization to boost project efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, strategic communications, advertising, along with graphic design production
  • Ability to successfully pass a government background screening
  • Proficient in the Microsoft 365 including Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as Google’s GSuite, and Adobe’s Creative Cloud
  • Deep and knowledgeable experience with project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, Jira, and Trello
  • Fantastic time management and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment with strong problem-solving skills
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills with solid writing, proofreading, verbal, and written communication skills
  • An expert understanding and proven experience planning, managing, and allocating resources across teams
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail with strong performance in quality control and assurance for all work products
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to set, adhere to, and manage deadlines and due dates
  • Capacity to maintain command and remain unflappable and adaptable under pressure, stress, and tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate confidence and an even keel in decision-making
  • Flexible and action-oriented, with an ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Eagerness to learn by doing
  • Strong professional work ethic and integrity

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in an advertising or marketing agency setting servicing high-touch clients
  • Impeccable project and client relationship management skills, particularly a demonstrated experience managing internal creative teams, freelancers, and vendors
  • Project Management Certifications: Project Management Professional Certification, Agile Certified Practitioner, Certified ScrumMaster, Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience working in and contributing to an inclusive and collaborative environment
  • Ability to push the envelope and think outside the box
  • A passion for change

·   Communications Intern

We are seeking a Communications Intern with independent drive, a willingness to learn as they go, and passion for effecting long-lasting change. At Meraki, you’ll gain hands-on communications and marketing experience, develop your project management skills, and learn the ropes of different industries. Our internship would be a great fit for undergraduate students serious about pursuing a career in communications.

Internships are up to full time (40 hours) during the regular workweek and pay an hourly rate of $20. This position is remote and business hours will be conducted in ET.

Summer Internship: May - August

Key Responsibilities

Interns will work directly with experienced, passionate consultants and creative specialists on client projects. Duties may include:
  • Drafting materials for clients including but not limited to social media content, media advisories, press releases, pitches, and op-eds
  • Conducting research
  • Creating social media content
  • Coordinating trainings and presentations
  • Meeting management and notetaking
  • Monitoring media coverage, compiling daily clips, and developing press lists
  • Tracking legislation for a number of clients
  • Providing administrative support
  • Other tasks depending on your skills and our needs

Qualifications

  • A junior or senior currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a college recent graduate or having completed at least 2+ years of said degree in public relations, communications, English, or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, orally and in writing.
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn by doing.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and action-oriented, with an ability to adapt to changing situations and multitask.
  • Ability to push the envelope and think outside the box.
  • A passion for change.
  • Desire and ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Social media/marketing experience.
  • Graphic design experience (Adobe, Canva) a plus.
